The staff of Home Instead Greenville provided compassionate care during a time of crisis for me as the caregiver as well as for my mom. The team was professional, caring and thoughtful, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, for which additional rules and precautions have been necessary to ensure everyones health and safety. The caregiving team included consistent substitutes during times when one of the primary caregivers was not able to come. Lines of communication were always open with the administrator assigned to us and I feel that they provided the caring support we needed during my mothers transition to assisted living.
As a child and teenager, I gravitated each Sunday at church to the elderly for a hug, a smile, and to find out how their week had gone. Joining the Home Instead Team felt like a perfect fit for me. In my free time I love to cook a good Gumbo or Jambalaya and spend time with my husband and children on the Lake. Need to more understanding when unexpected things happen with caregiver and has to call out for emergency. My wife was "diagnosed" with Alzheimer's disease almost 8 years ago, though the symptoms were there for about 2 years before that. She needs help doing anything that needs done. She can eat sometimes with a fork, but she's getting so she puts the fork down and uses her fingers.

I have worked for Home Instead Greenville a little over a year and am SO totally happy with my job and company.
Neither giving nor receiving care is easy. As the owner of Home Instead told me on day one, if I would do something, then the caregivers will do it and that has been true. They care for mom, take her to all appointments, cook, clean, shop, keep up with meds etc. The staff is on time and I never have to worry if a caregiver is going to show up or not.
Home Instead has been fabulous from the start. Since my sister and I live far from our dad, when dad moved from his home to an independent retirement facility, we needed a care giving agency to help manage his meds. He is living with dementia he is usually friendly and happy, but does have his moments.
The Myrtle Beach office staff has been totally responsive always in a timely manner and with the pleasantness and efficiency that we all look for. I would like to thank the Greenville office for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work with them. We often refer people to Home Instead and have only heard very positive comments. The industry standards are tough but they are tougher.
So, after college I became a certified nursing assistant and worked in a skilled nursing facility for almost 2 years before going back to school. I love working on finding the best CAREGivers for our clients! My passions include science and history and I love reading, listening to podcasts, and making art.
